N52 coolant bleeding question

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the coolant bleeding procedure on the N52 also activates the electric thermostat override, to allow bleeding of the radiator, too?

Or does it just bleed it as if it was cold with the thermostat cold? My concern is bleeding it cold, getting up to temp on an actual drive and then suffering a massive level drop as it all rushes into the radiator and having to faff at the road side.

I'd assume BMW have thought of this and it does open, but I can't see anything definitive either way online...

Bleed it using the procedure. That’s all you need to do.
