Suggest you go and see if you galaxy S2 will fit in that hole. I can tell you the answer though, it's a NO on both accounts.

It doesn't fit, no. But what's the name of the socket/connection? I wonder if there is a 'Connection X' to Micro USB cable available that will mean I can charge my phone in the car, whilst still using my iTrip for music that uses the cigarette lighter.

If you want to charge your phone then you will have to use the cig lighter I'm afraid.

Does the connection just provide power to the iPhone, or does it connect it to the stereo at all?
