My Z4MR - What's it worth?

I would pay more for a car with the engine rebuild work having been done, whether your average punter would is another question.
I think you should price it accordingly but you'll have to wait for the right buyer. GLWTS

£11,500-£13000 depending on if you want to sell quickly or hang on...

Mr Wilks car is the nearest comparison,less miles but nicely modded....Whereas yours has had the engine worked over...

Wait until spring,it will fly out of the door with it being at the cheaper end of the M market...
 
Some really interesting prices being mentioned here, I was miles out and it's a good thing I posted this topic before putting up an advert as someone would have got themselves a steal :oops:

I didn't realise the values were this strong at the moment.

If I get time tomorrow after picking up the barge I'll put an advert up on here, PH and AT and see what happens as I'm in no hurry to sell really :)

They're not particular "strong" , just holding steady & if you get anything like £14500 for a 90k Mroady id be staggered

You can list for whatever you like & as a current owner of a 83k Mroady lets hope you get strong money :thumbsup:

I remember it well! But a couple of things to consider are that Andrew was under pressure to sell due to an impending house move and he had only put very limited mileage on the engine, post-rebuild. I also think that I was incredibly lucky with the timing - someone who knew more about the value of the engine work could have snapped it up far earlier. It did take days of background reading to get myself into a position where I was confident enough to buy it (and even then it was a calculated risk).

So this car does have substantial mileage on the engine, post-rebuild, and the OP isn't in a hurry to sell. The high spec, engine work, brakes, new rear PSSs and extended leather will be massively attractive to forum members, so I reckon put it up for £14k and see how it goes.
 
Only you can answer "what's it worth" :)

From skimming the first few posts - i'd say you can probably ask for more than a basic price for it - the work alone on the cams/followers, plus recent servicing etc makes for (whilst yes mileage is higher than some) a pretty solid car. If i were buying again my main concern would be avoiding the worn follower issue - and by having the work done already you've saved someone a few bob (read, £thousands).

Downsides? It's winter and you're selling a roady. You'll probably lose £1k+ for that alone. Thus, i'd say ~£14,000.

Don't forget, there's not that many Z4M's around, and they're slowly appreciating (around ~£1k a year on coupes it seems), and whilst lots of members seem to think the low milers are massively overpriced, they are actually selling for a huge premium, meaning there's no longer as many cars at the lower price point .. thus pushing up the higher milers a little too :)
