My Z4M - Machine Polished

Black cars suck for maintenance and I swore I would never buy black again...that went well.

Recently I noticed lots of swirls, hollograming and fine scratches appearing on my car, making it look, well, rubbish. The black had gone from a glossy shine with lots of depth to something a bit foggy - still black, but very dull. So I have just had the car machine polished...what a difference. Anyone considering it, DO IT. All the imperfections have vanished and the paint is flawless; the metallic really stands out and it has a really deep shine. I think it looks ever so slightly better than it did the day I bought it....Highly recommend it to anyone thinking about PCing.

For some reason the interior shots all sucked. Oh well.

 a gentle landing.

Black looks great when it's clean, but I'd still never have a black car unless circumstances absolutely dictated it. Did you do it yourself or get someone to do it?

Cheers guys...

Yeah I paid someone, didn't do it myself - left it to a pro! :)

The difference is particularly noticeable on the rear wings

Yep I'd leave it to a pro too, maybe I'll get mine done in the summer, although the difference won't be as apparent with silver.

Silver is still a metallic and this removes that hazing you get in direct sunlight...you will like, really worth it!

Those are great shots, where were they taken? The interior shot which looks shaky, what shutter speed were you using?

I had not noticed the exhaust until you pointed it out...

Back end of Bournemouth Airport...a couple of guys had coned off a section and were drifting a Nisan 240SX with a fair few mods....was going to take some shots but was in a hurry (hence everything being taken on auto setting LOL).

Look great mike!

I'm having mine done next satruday while I am holiday, would normally do it myself but work and family commitments mean I have neglected my car lately...

It really wont make as much difference, every mark shows up on black where silver hides them...

Looks great btw.

Cheers

You can see hollograming and swirls on any colour...but agree black is the worst!
