My Z4 Coupe - Ruby Black

I collected this at the weekend, but before this evening hadn't had the chance to a) take any pictures and more importantly b) go out for a long drive.

Moved down the road to where a patch of sun was shining on the road through the trees. What a difference a change of light makes!

OP that looks fantastic - you must have put in a lot of time and effort! Top job!

I hope the driving went as well as the cleaning!

Out of interest, what cleaning products did you use (PM me if you prefer).

The listing Taz has says 140 Ruby Black Sport Coupes were sold in the UK market so no, not many!

What is it about this car frame that makes us like it so much.
The long bonnet? the lines? the way we sit nearly over the back axle?
The two seater action and not much else for cargo space?
The looks?

I'm still trying to sort out what makes this ride more in my eyes than the ones I have owned over the years.

Lovely ride you have.

It went very well thanks, I could very well be penniless soon as I think I'll be creating reasons to go for a drive.

I used Auto Finesse Tripple (spelt like that) as I read it was a good all in one. I then used a Farecla wax. Tripple will do a good job cleansing, hiding/filling swirls, making it shine and sealing as it is an all in one, but I wanted to wax it so it lasted a bit longer. Plenty of reviews if Tripple on detailing world is you're interested.

Love the ruby black! Had never seen it in person until I went to look at one this afternoon was so good I bought it!

Yours looks spot on need to practice my polishing so mine will hopefully look like that - obviously with the roof down though :poke:

Cheers, a machine polish is high on the list for this summer! In most lights it is just a metallic black, but as soon as the sun comes put the sparkle starts to show. Full, bright sun is when it transforms completely!

Looking good!

I completely agree with you, Most of the time it just looks Jet Black!
then on the rare occasional day of sunshine here in the UK it looks completely different!

I'm hoping to have e bit of paintwork correction and an all over machine polish done on mine a little later in the year once I've stopped running around like a headless chicken. Can't wait to see how yours comes out so I know what I have to look forward to! :)

A few more from last week, making the most of the last few evenings of summer sun! Although by the time these were taken the sun had just dipped over the horizon.

This was taken with a different lens to the rest.
