I wanted to extend my gratitude to the forum and its many inhabitants. Despite any of myriad causes that may bring our wonderful machines to their virtual knees, a simple search here can often bring swift and satisfying results. Thus far there has been no issue that has not already been found by some intrepid soul and after some research and not a minimal amount of tinkering and a few less than savory words, the answer is found and documented on this splendid forum.
My beloved Zed fell prey to a bad ignition coil yesterday and the residents here had diagnosed similar problems with those that have gone before me. So my hat is off to you.
Oh, and thank you for some of the most interesting British slang I have ever come across!
