My satnav doesn't have pictures just words

and it's stopped working. I get the hold on a moment message. Some times it doesn't recognise the disc. It worked fine for 2 years...

1) is it nackered?
2) how do I get it fixed?

PS 04 3.0 in merlot and beige leather.

best to leave it for 20-30 minutes disconnected.
