My Pet Rabbit Has Gone.

My 7-year-old Buffy was put to sleep this afternoon, after the vet advised us that her condition was very bad and the chance of recovery was slim. We were there with her to the end, when the vet injected her. That moment we never forget. :(

Are you going to get it stuffed, or help it live on in a hat or pair of gloves for the winter

Her body will be cremated, and her cremation urn will be placed in our living room.

Don't want to sound callous but to me a rabbit is just a pie and a pair of gloves.
Yup, that sounded very callous.

Well done

Sorry to hear about the rabbit, I lost my rottweiler a few years ago. I actually took time off work.

The guy was like a family member.

sorry to hear that :( if/when you come to scatter the ashes it should be a drive in the country with the roof down and let them go in the fields

any pet is important to the owners and its obviously upsetting when they die. no real need to call them a pie and a pair of gloves IMO

Aw - sad to lose a pet.
My daughters have kept little gerbils and jirds for years and sadly they only last for 2 to 5 years so there's been a lot of funerals and burials in our garden

 gutted fella, never had much of an affinity with rabbits, but somehow ended up with a load of fish recently which makes me feel pretty bad when they give up on you.

also have an ageing dog i love to bits, god help the day he's not around anymore.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm a real animal lover (so much so that i don't eat them unlike our friend z head !) and it upsets me when these things happen
