My other car is a...

I've got a Skoda Enyaq x85 Sportline company car at the moment. As a commuter bus its great, big enough to throw my MTB in the back, fairly quick and free (apart from a bit of tax). The range (330 miles claimed) has plummeted in winter from 308 miles actually achieved in summer, down to 230 miles now the lights and heaters are on. This will be replaced by a Skoda Octavia 3 vRS, as I'm changing jobs and no longer get a company car.

I had a RenaultSport Clio 182 until last month, I loved it to bits but sadly, after 9 years of ownership, I had to sell it after buying my E86, and needed to free up some space for the Octavia.

My 2003 E85 Z4 3.0 is my only car. Living in the center of a bigger city it is already a pain to park one car!

Hopefully this month I get my residents parking permit so my monthly parking costs go to 60 eur/mnth instead of the 150 eur/mnt I now pay for a spot in a garage 10 min bicycle ride from my apartment (and I consider that 150 a steal seeing what private spots can go for here).

And before you ask, I love living in the city and am not going to move!

The mother of a friend of mine had one when I was a very small child. I didn’t appreciate that it was special at the time.

Last week I made a cheeky last minute ebay bid on a hot hatch, on a bit of a whim, not expecting the bid to win or meet reserve. It did win and did meet reserve and I now have a 2010 Arbarth 500 Esseesse. It feels quick and is fun so far!

Excellent, now get a Monza exhaust for that. They are lovely cars though, fast and small. Great fun.

If you want CarPlay, let me know and I can point you in the right direction

It has some android audio upgrade already fitted. There is an invoice from 2010 for the "white wheeled SS kit and Monza exhaust" - SS referring to the "Esseesse" upgrades. £3149.86 including VAT.

Esseesse seems to lower the car, upgrade the wheels and increase BHP by about 30 over standard, and had to be fitted by a main dealer within one year of the car's registration. Not sure how good a deal I got, but it looked like it might be a touch cheap when I bid... and nowhere on the listing did they bother to say it was an Esseesse.

The car sounds pretty good to my ears, and I could definitely see why some people might prefer the sound to my E86.

If you have 4 pipes, it is a Monza so that is easy to spot. We are on our second one (first was a 2010, second a 2017), this time a Comp model. They do set off car alarms in cars parks when you start the car

Hopefully it has the Koni socks as well as part of the upgrade. Our 2010 had the standards shocks and we went through 3 of them during the warranty period.

I'll check the socks when I get a chance ;-)

It's definitely NOT got the Monza (Monza Record?) quad pipe exhaust that seems to have been fitted in 2010. Just checked and it's a Toyo Sports exhaust....google says "The Toyosports exhaust for the Abarth 500/595 is a popular aftermarket stainless steel system known for being a budget-friendly alternative to the Record Monza. Unlike the Monza, which is valved, the Toyosports is typically a non-valved, straight-through or rear backbox system.

Material: Constructed from high-quality T-304 stainless steel.
Design: Features a 2" (51mm) bore with large 4" (102mm) twin tailpipes.
Performance: Uses mandrel-bent tubing and TIG welding to improve exhaust flow, which can lead to minor gains in power and throttle responsiveness.
Sound Profile: It is significantly louder than the stock exhaust, offering a "throaty" tone with more frequent pops and bangs. Some users describe it as having a sound similar to the Magneti Marelli Bombardone R4

Went to visit family near Stockport over the weekend, found a StreetKA for sale around there. Called past to have a look, found it pretty straight/solid/not rotty and had great fun driving it home avoiding the motorway.

Far quicker than the numbers suggest around town / off the mark, enjoyable. Heated seats aren't as warm as the Z4 though, but parts are _way_ cheaper. Just need to sell a car so I can fit all of them on the drive again now.
