My Number Plate has been Cloned!

Not much info, but this is what directgov suggests doing (if you haven't checked yet): http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/VehicleCrime/DG_10020050

I had a letter from the police for failing to stop and being involved a high speed purist.

I'm a high-speed purist. I hadn't realised that plod takes exception to such activities :D

Good link - wouldn't have thought of writing to the DVLA too.

Both letters now in the post

I like it better than the correct spelling... spot on!

What a nightmare.... suspect the cloners will have a variety of plates that they can interchange as it suits them. B@stards

Might be worth looking to see if you have anything that marks your car as individual. Window stickers, any damage marks etc that proves it's not your car.

Put a forum sticker in the window, that way no one can clone your car (unless a forum member :o )

That was the idea. I have stickers from this forum and the other I am a member of on mine. A dealer sticker would do it though.
