The car is awesome, as expected. Feels so much more solid on the road, sound is out of this world. Although Stop start hill starts in heavy traffic is not my ideal first 10 minutes in a new car getting used to the clutch!
Had a spirited drive through unfamiliar A roads down to the M3, then a blast on more familiar roads home. Can't stop grinning. And what amazed me most; pootling the 100 miles to the dealership in the 3.0 auto - 23mpg, mixed driving home in the M - 27mpg... a pleasant surprise (to make up for the extra £25 in road tax i just got hit for).
Can't get over the difference between the two cars, I knew there would be but another big surprise was how much more comfortable the M was than the 3.0 se. Significantly less road noise, rattling and less bouncing about (we had factory 19" wheels + run flats on the SE).
I'm missing a few options, noticeably the Carver stereo, but to be honest hardly used the stereo in the old car, expect to use it less on the new. Surprised there were no lights on the sun visors, and no fog lights (can't even remember turning them on the old).
It was a sad moment watching our old car being driven off the forecourt, it's been fantastic, the best (and longest) car I've ever owned. I really hope it goes to a good home.
