My New z4 with 19z......

Those wheels look fantastic!

They look to be very low profile, does the car handle as well as before?

They came on the car....the wheels r 19 inch m6 polished alloys...

Car handles like a dream...

Draw backs r a humming sound (cuz there too big for the car really) and higher petrol consumption...

Car looks great. Good purchase but unfortunately have to agree with Paddy. Put the wheels on e-bay and get some different ones - they are great wheels but not a fan of wheels designed for another car on a different one ( if that maks sense). Take a look at the thread for the breakfast meet - lots of great z4's with wheels that suit the car. Sorry to sound negative.
At the end of the day you know what you like. Everyone has their opinion and most will be different as you gather from this thread.

Welcome to the forum- didnt mean to sound negative- just not a fasn of the M6 wheels but each to their own.

Lots of different views there then.

I think the wheels look OK. Wouldn't buy them or fit them myself, but that's the beauty of customising is that you make the car what you want and like.

My real problem would be the drop in performance on what I think is a 2.2? with all that extra mass and increased diameter. Poorer acceleration, less effective brakes, more suspension crash, etc. Add to that the through the wheel look with small standard rotors, rusty hubs and calipers and it's not a great idea.

Not sure what the humming is that you mention?

I like them
The best non standard alternative IMO. Especially on a black or red Z.

If I were to go for them though, I'd go for 18"s because the 19's need the car lowering to make them look right and I couldn't get away with it being any lower :(
They are at the limits of how "pimp" I'd go though.

Nice RS in the background 8)

I quite like them they don't look bad.
Love the Focus RS 8)

Pete - lowering, the need and result all depends upon what tyre profile you have used with the larger rims. Of course if the aspect ratio is correctly reduced, the final rolling dimension and therefore ride height will be the same as before.

If of course a higher or same as before aspect ratio is used then it will increase the ride height by approx. half the rolling diameter. Aside possibe rubbing on arches therefore lowering would give you no more clearance problems than before.

Did I explain that well enough??

Can't decide whether i like them or not...Style yes...But they make the brakes look pathetically small..

Love the wheels. They do unfortunately leave some large gaps with which to view the tiny calipers :(

Car must be quick though, its blown all your hair away :poke:
