My new winter wheels

I picked up some 108's from Cibbers in September, and slowly but surely i have been refurbing them... Thanks to this excellent forum i split them (guided by andicole0 on what spline bit to get)

I quite enjoyed doing it! Total cost inc paint and tools £70.

As they arrived - no curbing just corroded.

I gave up on the nitromors And used a prepping tool which attached to the drill

Nice refurb, I've only managed to finish three! I decided to put winter tyres on the standard wheels so gave myself the winter to finish the 108's. The trouble I'm finding is that I'm getting more picky with the quality as I go through the wheels, the first one may need to be redone

Andi.

Thank guys

Took it for a spin must say i quite enjoy the ride of 18's over 19's .

A bit quieter and slightly softer.... I went from 18rtf to 19's so never had the Z on 18's without rft's before :)

aquazi, nice

Having seen Adamski's in person, and now your photos, I am tending towards having mine split colours when they need done....

I was never too keen on the black centers... But then after i prepped them i realised black would cover imperfections better

get some of those dark rear lights and you could almost pretent to be night rider :) .... esp as when you press the sport button the revs will increase and you will shoot off like the turbo button :)

they look really good

Looking sharp Aquazi. What tools did you use on the drill?
I got two of these.... Each one lasted about 2 wheels.

Dusty and noisy as hell though... But on a high speed drill strips the paint quicker then nitromors ever could.... Infact nitromors barely made a dent to the lacquer on my wheels.

Cracking job boy,I didnt realise they were real split rim wheels I thought they were just for looks like on fords>
