Hi all, so after recently changing jobs and needing something better suited to long distance/comfort/practicality etc i've gone in a completely different direction from the Z and gone for what you see below. Gotta say, i'm over the moon with it!.every added option you can imagine, the most incredible sound system i've ever heard in a car, and a 3.5 v6 petrol engine making 292bhp and hybrid power on top giving an instant 60bhp shot of instantly available oomph totalling 350bhp ish!.... i can tootle through towns at 30mph just on battery power in silence and use no fuel at all (can get around 36mpg combined) and then use them both together when i need them, and wow does it go when you ask it to!... surprises a lot of cars! anyway, lots of pics below of the Z i sold and my new toy.....

Thought that might be the response i got from a few!... nevermind, could'nt keep the Z, needed something more practical, and the Z would'nt see which way the lexus went!

Nice choice. Lexus do make some very comfy cars with lots of toys. My Dad had a few IS200s all looked good and we're nice to drive. My favorite was his IS300 sports cross that was a really nice car and the engine was so smooth on it.

Seems they are a love or hate brand my Dad said the customer service was always top quality as well.

Always had a soft spot for Lexi. I was a passenger in a GS460 a few years ago now and remember being absolutely blown away by the ML audio. It really is quite something.

Yep, the Mark Levinson audio in these really is something else! like having a real concert going on in the car!

looks nice, but they always remind me of "DAN! ...DAN! ...DAN! ...DAN!"

Like your style Sd , closet Lexi fan but only when the money has dropped completely off them & you can enjoy utter quality, luxury & refinement for sub german equivalent funds
Had a 300 Sportcross for a while & loved it
What Tax band is it ?

I sort of love the kw-ometer instead of the tacho :) Lexi have always given a rediculous level of schmick for the price.. I remember my Soarer and aristo - twin turbo 320bhp jobbies in the mid 90's, leather and electric everything and features that you wouldn't see on base spec euro cars costing the same amount. what she gives up in sportiness she'll make up for in comfort im sure! Enjoy :)

Another closet Lexus fan here. I don't like that hatchback thing that they make (looks like a Mazda and has no interesting engines in it), but other than that they churn out some beautifully made and quite interesting cars.

Nice car, but 36 mpg doesn't seem very impressive. I get that in a 530d Touring, without having to carry an extra motor and battery.

It's really not meant to be an Eco/save the planet car!.... The hybrid bit is there for added performance and it shows when you put your foot down, first time I did it I nearly swallowed my own tongue!... Lol. I think 36mpg (more on motorway runs) is perfectly acceptable when you're talking about a 3.5 V6 with 350bhp!
