My mini projects to improve my Z

Having decided that I wanted to spend a bit of money on the Z getting it back up to scratch cosmetically, and improving it with some projects, this is my plan.

I have already bought and fitted a wind deflector, thank you eBay  Haven't really experienced the benefit of it yet due weather being pretty crappy down here.

I have just received and retro-fitted cruise control, thank you Joe @ Sopers. Am yet to cut the cowl, but the stalk fits and works perfectly.

I have had a quote to fix the scratches, stone chips and shopping trolley ding I have on the front wing and bumper (£250.00)

I am looking into buying the heated pads for retro fitting heated seats and cable to link it (I will also need the centre switch console), just need to find out if the wiring is all in place (Mine is pre October 2004) if anyone can help that would be great.

I have taken off my 18" alloys for a full refurb, been quoted around £200-£300

Am putting up with my run flats for the winter

All in, for me it is a big project as I am not massively practical, so if anyone can help with whether the heated seat wiring is there I'd appreciate it. I would trust a good auto upholsterer to fit the heating pads.

I will post some photos when I can

As soon as Spring arrives, I will get it detailed.

I can't wait, it feels like Christmas

Im going to spend some money on mine for summer to. Some dings and a scratch to take out and maybe a wheel refurb. Im also going to get my interior dash and center console pieces sprayed grey.
If im going to keep it I may as well have her looking nice for summer. Much cheaper than buying a new car

Same , bumper respray, and, Think ill invest in a stubby. Today was the first drive the car had in a fortnight ran well enough apart from experiancing the sticky sterring issue for the first time . I managed to give it a bit of welly on the expressway , only a couple of mile tho, the traffic was a nightmare , and that was a 45 mile drive with 2 mile of open road :x

It's good to have little projects on the car - make the car your own

Wiring in the car should 100% be there at that age of Z4. I retro-fitted actual heated seata (not just the pads) and it really was just plug and play. Switch unit was a direct swap too and it's worth searching on ebay for one - mine came from ebay USA.
