My Imola Red Z4M Coupe - now clean and shiny

Thought I'd share my new look car with you all. I decided after a battle with pigeon poo over the summer that 1) the branches on the tree over the drive had to go and 2) my poor car needed some tlc to remove the stains and scratches 6 years have accumulated.

As luck would have it, I had a 10 day break to Menorca planned and the detailing company were able to fit me in and do the work while I was away. How I would have managed without my car for a week otherwise I do not know. :driving:

Dropped him off scratched and needing attention :( and picked him up all shiny and new. There were a few minor dings (4 it turns out), the wheels were in need of a refurb, especially the centre hubs, and the leather on the drivers side bolster was a little worse for wear. I also decided that if the wheels were coming off I would get the hubs and brakes tidied up - so they were down for painting - I went for silver for both. The engine bay has also had a clean up and is back to looking brand new.

Overall I'm really pleased and despite the cost I think it was well worth it. It has also tipped me over into the two bucket brigade and sadly :( our village car wash lad has lost a regular commission (don't worry, we still have 3 other cars he gets to do  ).

One of the best things I have done with the car. The paint feels soooo smooth. I keep having to touch it when I walk past - never mind the recent post "Do you look back at your MC?" But, yes I do look back, every time I leave him. And it is so good that the wheels are perfect again. :yeah:

I just love the car with the beads of water sitting on it after rain and the leather seats are back to perfect and with the leather surface treatment I can slip in and out of the car without scuffing the bolster. In fact it is a whole lot easier to get in and out now. :oldman:

Anyway, the pictures on the web site are a mixture of before and after shots. For those who like looking at a Z4MC.

The paint work correction detailing - £700

The wheel refurbishment - all 4 - £340

The leather Refurbishment - £150

Paint less dent removal - £60

Hub and brake calliper painting ( + removal and refitting) - £220

Not cheap, but as you can see, what a difference!

Looks great! I think the E85/E86 are proper looking sports cars, long bonnet and rear wheel drive.
Even though the shape is 10 years old, they still look a modern car.
They have such a raw look, much more than the E89.

Can't think of many better ways to spend £1,500 on a car tbh - the results are amazing

Definitely going to get my car detailed professionally sometime soon.

That is stunning.
