Hmmm - too many track laps in the passenger seat of one of those is why I ended up not driving Audis anymore. In the end I just couldn't bring myself to the Elise as a daily driver however and I went to an S2k as my track car instead. After 2 years of that I found myself in need of more luxury and dumped it for the Zed.

Good luck with the Lotus - stunning driving experience when you want to be fully engaged but hopefully you have an alternative for daily commutes. :thumbsup:
 
Very nice - congratulations! I've always liked those. I keep hearing they're bad daily drivers, but someone with an orange Exige commutes in his year-round, and this is Chicago. ATL should be a piece of cake.
 
That is one real fun track biased car. Commute in it - good luck if it's more than a few miles. My good buddy here drives a VX220 turbo which is built by Lotus on the same chassis as the Elise and a very very close relative. It's tremendous fun, but totally impractical, undrivable for more than 20 minutes and exhausting, unless you are in 'race' mindset.

I love your car though
 
Good luck, it's a beautiful car. There is a lady at work with me and she has been driving about 60 mile round trip each day for the last year and loves it! No complaints.
 
I was considering one of those as a daily driver but I just couldn't do it. That's how I ended up with the Z. Good choice of color. :D

Veruca, congratulations!! It's beautiful and everyone here knows you've been eye-balling other vehicles. Your husband must be ecstatic as well. So, is he going to become a member here now or what? :D
 
Thanks so much guys! Since my first post I have had to cool my jets for a second because we found out that the car was in a small (so they say) accident. We are trying to talk to the original dealer now to see what the story is. Hopefully there wasn't any frame or suspension damage. It's so close, yet so far! LOL :cry:
