Well, I finally made the plunge, sold off my sensible, practical hatchback and made a 2 seater roadster my daily driver... The Mrs and my parents think I've lost it!
Purchased from John-e89 on here, very well specced and with stacks of paperwork. Spent all weekend out in the sun enjoying it too, a lovely introduction to ownership.
Got a few jobs in the pipeline, as follows:
Royals retrimmed steering wheel ordered
ZHP gearknob delivered (not yet fitted)
Clear third brake light ordered
Numerous front suspension parts coming - control arms, bushes, drop links and ARB bushes - there's a slight knocking to take care of, the car still feels fine to drive but the wheels do have a slight play so figured I may as well get it done now and then enjoy
Future plans?
Wheels, currently on 108s with corrosion on the outer, going to look for a set of MV2s to replace most likely.
Gaptech module, perhaps! Can see the benefits...
VANOS rebuild - We couldn't see any paperwork to say this has been done, so it'll be on the 'to do' pile... possibly until later in the year when I've had my summer fun!
I've also had to order myself some ramps and a new trolley jack, as the ones I've always used on mine and my dads cars are naturally too high to fit under the Zed!
Few quid spent already, but I feel its just going to make a good car better with extra little comforts and improved handling.
Photos are forthcoming, I am aware of the old 'TTIUWOP' phrase!
