My First Car, My first Z4 (2nd hand and Crashed)

I was always a big fan of this site but I have never made a topic not even a post.
Now that I got my Z4 I decided to share some picture about my wrecked z4, and how its being repaire. I bought it from 2nd hand from germany. As you can see on the pictures it was dammaged (at least I kew why was the car sold) with 33.000 Km on the clock and with a full service history it was a burgin for 11.000 EUR. The fixing will cost probably 5.000 EUR. The car was made in 2006.12.28.

Two of the Airbags were open and the passenger airbag has broken the windscreen. It is well equipped though.

Tha car is now in the final stadium now at the paint shop. Probably will be finished next week and put together between Christmas and New Year.
I will keep you updated as soon as it's done.

Welcome Morrisadam!

Bet you can't want to get it. Of course you do realise that if you stick around here you'll soon be taking it apart again to do mods and upgrades!

So interesting pics... especially the interior stripped down, always curious what's underneath the surface!

Thx you All for the kind welcome. I can't wait to drive it. My big dream is the Stelvio Pass I read on this forum that couple of you gonna go there during the summer. I might join.
And Yes the stiped down interior is very weird. At least I know that I got Philips Speakers :D

Just had an idea Morrisadam, if you want to make some friends quickly! Do you still have the damaged 108? If you can salvage some of the bolts from them there are a few on here who might want to take them off your hands, if not now then down the line.

Well the complete inner part of the wheel had broken away it's only the star shape had left and that is damaged aswell. I do not think that anybody would want it. I bought a new one from ebay for 120 EUR.

Think PawnSacrifice means if you take all the studs out which hold the 2 parts of the wheel together and save them. There is always someone wanting the odd 1 or 2

It is a very strange request - it is the small allen bolts that fasten the start to the rim and it sounds that your's would have been damaged anyway.

Yeah I can save that it is not in a too bad condition.
Yes It is a serious rebuild, well atleast it is more srious than I first thought :o But it will worth it. At least the car wont end up in a crapy condition, like a second hand car dealr would do it. Just saved a Zed life :D

Hi and welcome to the forum. Alot of hard work in progress and I hope it goes smoothly without any serious problems. Out of curiosity, what part of Germany are you from?

hope the rebuild goes well, ive just changed a headlight on mine, boy are these bmw's well built! ive now got the tinkering bug now after buying some proper tools, the door card is coming off next to fix my drivers door (its getting harder to open, think its the cable that needs replacing) and also got a rattly speaker, so time to investigate.

It is good to hear (read) that everybody loves his or her car so bad that it is almoust addiction.
Thx for the good wishes. Probably for the weekend the painting will be finished.
I will keep you updated.
