I've recently managed to buy some clear indicator rear lights from a fellow forum member to complete my de-Gingering project. Many thanks Mafoo. They were in superb condition just as described. Prior to fitting I gave the lenses a going over with some Farecla G3, 50cal Filler Glaze and sealed them off with some Collinite 845...super glossy ! If you consider the production date on the labels says Nov'03 then I think they look remarkable. I'm really pleased with the way they look on the car, much sharper and more contemporary.

Also I read recently on the forum that when opening the boot lid it seems to get very close to the lower edge of the hardtop rear screen. I checked mine and the gap was approx 4mm....much too close for comfort ! I had some hard polyurethane pipe knocking about in the garage which looked as if it may just fit over the small stops on the boot lid hinges. With the help of some GT85 spray I managed to 'persuade' it over the stops and trimmed off the excess with a sharp blade. The boot lid comes to rest vertically a little more gently now and the gap is a much healthier 10mm or so. It's an easy job and well worth doing so check your gaps !
