My Cayenne loaner

So, my 911 is at the dealer for fixing a rattle in the door so I have a Cayenne for the day (that has a rattle in exactly the same place !!!!).

First some images:









So .. my impressions: Not as nice to drive as the X5 first of all, it is very much down on power.

It also suffers from the same turbo lag that the Macan had that I had as a loaner. The 8 speed gear box is nice, the interior is nice as well. Bit too much red though.

I quite like the red. Would be a lot of black leather otherwise. Hardly a pretty car though is it and not as nice as the X5.

There is a LOT of red in there .... the whole door is red from the grip downwards.

You're lucky it's not the full red interior, with the dash and steering wheel being red too

Well at least they are doing two tone now! For a long time not sure about now but the 911s came with full red interiors roof, seats, doors, steering wheel everything red in a similar bright red seriously OTT!!!!

Who thought this was a good idea needs a head check!

They have improved slightly when it comes to offering some colour in an interior but they still take it a bit too far. Just the seats, insert in the door card and the arm rest would be fine. The lower dash and all the bits on the centre console reminds me of how people used to colour code their cars in Max Power magazine. I guess footballers must like that sort of thing.

Always had a hankering for the previous model (facelifted version from 2007 ) & thought i liked the new one until this pic from the rear man have they got that wrong from the reg plate down not nice at all

Fugly looking things but not as bad as the Macan (which looks like something big and heavy has fallen from the sky and compressed it's roof!)
