my car won't start

Hi,

I have a 2005 Z4 that I don't drive too often because I have multiple cars. I bought it new and it has about 30,000 miles on it now. The last time I went to drive it I couldn't start it and found out the battery was low... so I jumped it and drove it for a while and the battery seemed like it got recharged. A few weeks went by and when I tried to start it again the battery was dead. It was the original battery so I bought a new battery and the car started fine. A few more weeks went by and again I had battery problems again. I even bought a battery charger and fully charged it over night but still could not start the car the next day. It jump starts just fine but it doesn't seem to charge the battery. Since I rarely drive the car and I've always kept it in good shape and garaged I figured the alternator would still be ok. Since I've already changed the battery do you think I have a faulty alternator or could there be something else causing the issue. If I charge the new battery over night to full charge it still won't start without a jump from my other car. Any info would be appreciated... :)

thanks,

al

Sounds like an alternator issue. If battery won't take charge, alternator might be goosed

sounds to me like it is charging, as after you drove it it was OK, could be a something draining the battery over time, like a boot light or something else, there are ways to check it using an amp meter, best bet is to get a it checked out to see If it really is charging and for parasitic battery drain.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdIKNnwEjIs
