My BMW App

I selected the “ Croft Racing Circuit “ from the My BMW App and sent the route details to the car.

I ended up driving down single track road many many from civilisation as the app gives the completely wrong post code and thus I find it difficult to trust the app again!

Poor show - it wasn’t Just a little bit out either

The DL2 2PL is my corrected input!

It has a driver age assessment in there too.
Probably thought it safest to keep you away from race circuits. :poke: :D

I had a few laps in a set up 3.0l Three series and freely admit that those days are beyond me now’

I would not have mocked had I not felt myself to be in the same bracket.

Out of interest, have you ever tried talking to the 'Hey BMW' thingummy and asking it to tell you a joke?
I did and it replied............ "Surely you're not bored arleady, have you tried Sport mode?"

58 - A mere child - nowhere near the required age of the old gits club

Did you actually take to the track? Which of the Z4s were you in (or did you go in something more track-focused)?

I noticed a fair number of Z4s there...but of course they're never likely to be in the majority :P

I think I saw 2 red Z4MRs (one black hardtop, one red hardtop with gold wheels), a grey roadster, a silver/space grey 3.0 coupe with ironing board on the rear, and lots of M3/M4s...oh, and a phoenix yellow roadster for sale.

At least the toilet drainage lorry wasn't there this year

I was in a Track prep 3 series - I don’t think my 35is would have lived with it on the track

There were several nice zeds there - the one that I noticed was an E85 ( I seem to remember it had a black hard top) with a super charger - 500 and a bit BHP they said!

I talked to a young chap with an M4 comp and he had effectively wrecked a new set of Michelins PS4

A fella did ask to buy my car - he insisted that I took his mobi no for ref when I sell!
I did notice the car at the entrance for sale

Were you a spectator / driver/ passenger?

I didn’t have as much time there due to taking too much notice of the sat nav - I’ve been going to Croft for more years than I care to think about so didn’t really need it.

Just a passenger unfortunately...bit of a last minute decision to even attend, but glad I did as I enjoyed a night in the Croft Hotel down the road with a few chums the night before.

Didn't really think a 320D was the right weapon for the circuit (it's okay on the long, fast stuff like the Nurburgring, but it's not built for tighter stuff)...and I'm off to Germany tomorrow, so I didn't want to be rushing around trying to get 4 new tyres (or paying for them). I really don't miss the costs involved in track days though. I think I worked out my e34 M5 averaged £1000/day...and at one point I was doing 1 a month :|

Friends were in a blue e46 M3, blue e36 M3 and red Mazda MX5...and I'm sure the suspension wasn't bolted down properly on the MX5 as there were some serious-sounding clunks coming from it :P

Version 3.9 now available.
• Route planning with intermediate destinations
• Monthly review for trip statistics
• Redesign of the profile tab including recommended backgrounds

Thanks

Its probably me being thick, but I can’t find how to update my app?

Ignore that - it was me being thick, it’s done from the App Store

It would be a game changer if we could send google maps etc directly to the car
Get Android auto then you will have all the Google features including maps in the car and if you plan a route in Google on your PC it is available in the car automatically. :D
