A few pics of my z4 35is with carbon front splitter, side skirts, badges etc. Changed the grills to black ones also. Waiting on some quotes for the mirror covers and roll bar covers to be done in carbon, all part of my plan for red & black theme. Wheels also to be black, but not the 326s, I'll probably sell those along with some other parts.
Hope you like so far.dumumyty.jpg

Looking good Ray :)
Thanks simon, bit of a job fitting but got there, took about three hours all in. The side skirts are stuck on with no nails d/s tape and the splitter i used some m6 rivnuts and stainless bolts and the no nails d/s tape on the centre section. :D

Many thanks everyone for your positive comments. still got a lot more to do though, i`ll start playing around with suspension and rollbars next, getting it to handle the way it should.

The carbon looks fab against the red

Interested to see how you get on with the carbon mirrors, loving mine when the sun catches them :)

Tim.

I'm interested to see what you change and the difference it makes. Mines pretty good on the track standard in Sports+ and corners better than the M3's do but room for improvement.
My Zed mods are on hold for now because I'm building a Mini Cooper race car starting Thursday to do the Mini Challenge in.

Lovely Ray
How easy are the grills to change, I've got mine to do next weekend (or one evening this week if its simple!!)

Should take you no more than 15mins, lift the bonnet remove the cover at the front top, 10mm socket 4 screws and it`s off,use a short flat blade screwdriver and ease the tabs on the grills and off they pop, the new ones just push fit and it`s job done. getting your hand down the front behind the grills is a bit tight but get the first one off then your hand in through opening to get the second one off, don`t be tempted to fit the first new grill before you get the second one off, it`s a lot easier with that big hole there to get second one off. :D Pretty easy job really.

I'll have a go Wednesday after work then, thanks Ray.
I'll pop up to Solihull Thursday if I'm struggling

On my previous Z4 i fitted eibach lowering springs and a bigger rear anti roll bar, in that cars case it was a massive improvement alround, got rid of most of the understeer i was trying to eliminate, so i will go that route on this car first. Good luck with your mini project simon and when it`s all done and you ready to race i`ll come along and support you.......from the grandstand

My first races are at the Mini Festival on 22nd/23rd June at Brands Hatch. I'm not expecting to be anywhere else but the back at my first one but i'll try my best not to come last :)
