In fairness a wall collapsed in front of me a couple of weeks before and knackered 2 of my alloys so I switched vack to steelies and didn't account for the massive reduction in grip

And the downed wall in the photo was already like that before I went over it otherwise I'd have bounced off it and not gone over the edge...

Still very lucky that cable caught the car the hill is a lot steeper than the photos make it look

No pic of my first car - cameras weren't invented until later.

It was a 1970 mark 1 Escort 1100 in white with two thin red stripes down each side, Reg no: SOV737H. Fond memories of an indestructible car - I did try!

Bought my first car in 1967 - 1961 Minivan - no pics unsurprisingly ! Paid £75 :D Reg DOG 756 - should have kept the reg !

MK V Ford Escort 1.3 LX in Red with a Boot Spoiler .. Oakley Sticker on the rear window to top of the mid 90s look .

My word it was slow .. Thankfully !

Slightly Unfortunate number plate of H281TWA

Same problem , no pic , but it was a mark 3 cortina 2.0 Xl , kn Gemini alloys with 185 - 70 - 13 tyres  I also fitted a chrome wire basket air filter to the twin choke weber that BMW recorded the intake sound from and replicated for the m3 CSL ! Honestly , it sounded exactly the same to my 17 year old ears , I should have registered a patent
But I was more interested in girls , cigarettes and beer , my loss

Sadly another post with no photo! :(

First car was a 1967 MKII 1500cc Cortina bought in 1976. Collected with 2 radial tyres and 2 6-ply cross-plies - handling was "interesting" on a good day! Rotten as a pear, completely sh*gged mechanically, only vinyl seats and rubber mats on the floor but I didn't care as it had a wooden 1600E dash and a remote gear-change linkage!

My introduction to oversteer - happy days!
