MV2 & MV3 Alloy - Picture help

Hi Guys,

I've been looking at re-furbishing my split alloys as their in a bad state (laquer peeling off inside, lifting off the outside & kerbed). I've been getting a few quotes and for a similar price as the re-furb (£350 ish for all 4) I could possibly get a new set of MV2 or MV3s off eBay (not sure if these are good quality or not...may need some guidance here).

Does any body currently have a Zed fitted with either MV2 or MV3s and would be happy to upload pictures for me to help make up my mind....currently veering towards the MV2s but not 100%

Or if you have any other alloy suggestions around the £350/400 range feel free to share :)

Many Thanks

Taz,

I know I'm yet to see MV3s but I think I'm sold......your MV2s look the business...exactly how I could see them in my head and definately what I want!

Did yours come with the car by any chance or did you buy them on line?

Have to agree with your sig as well.....your coupe is a beauty...if my venture into shares comes off I could be tempted to change to the coupe...maybe even the M...here's to dreaming eh  !!

Cheers

MV2s on a roadster.

I love them and actually enjoy cleaning them - sad I know.

Yes I have a set of MV3's very similar design to the MV2's but with 5 single spokes in between the double ones.....if that makes sense ! A bit easier to clean, really pleased with these alloys especially as I bought the car with awful 16 inch alloys :( this was my very first mod. Made a huge difference to the look of the car. Why did they put 16 inch alloys on a zed in the first place :o

my issue with these wheels is they are very generic- 3,5 and 1 series all wear them. No offence to any one who has them- just mho

Cheers for the pictures guys, both styles look great....MV2s for me though :)

Final question and may seem a little daft, is there a difference between genuine BMW dealer/website alloy wheels and the ones I can buy online (e.g ebay) with interchangable centre badges etc? Is there anything I need to be aware of or any reason why I should stick to genuine?

Thanks
Dean

I have MV2s on my coupe. I know they are on a lot of BM's but it doesnt take away from the fact that they look great on the zed! I agree with Taz that they are a pain to keep clean.

I have binned the 108's for a set of MV2's. So much easier to live with, and I don't find them that bad to clean.I use a sponge and just squidge it into the gap, works a treat. I love the MV2's, I know they fit them to 3 and 5 series, but they are one of the best designs of alloy that BMW have used for years.
