Music volume, gets louder when faster

Is there anyway to have this at max all the time? Sometimes it doesn't get louder when I go faster, but it's a massive difference, so at speed I can't hear it.

I've also got problems when using AUX, sometimes it's very quiet, about 30%, I have to turn the car off, disconnect the iPhone and do it again and the it's loud again. Radio is loud when I cycle through sources.

I dont think so, you can turn the feature off but you can't have it louder at lower speeds i dont think. Im guessing you have the standard Speaker Set Up?

The amount the volume increases with noise is codeable (I think there's 3 steps, or you can turn the option off). I remember seeing it when going through options with NCS on my Z4. If you have access to coding software it can be changed, or if you like to give money away, your dealer can probably do it. A search should find a bit more info on changing this option, sorry I can't remember the specifics.

For "NAV" there is no mention in the manual. I had found the fix in the x3world.com forums. For more information search for GAL (Geschwindigkeits (speed) abhaengige (depending) Lautstaerke (volume)).

Try this:
Set the Audio source to the radio.
Turn the Radio OFF
Turn the Radio ON
Press and hold the SEL button for 10 seconds (you get into the hidden menu).
Use the < and > to change to the GAL screen
Change the value of GAL with the preset number buttons, 1 = little change, 6 = large change.
Turn radio OFF to save new settings.

Try it! (I will when I can get to my car again!)

Does it mean it is always louder or quieter though. I don't want the change to be small from a low volume!

Tried it. The jump is smaller, but I think the volume isn't as loud as when it jumped up on the previous setting.

It was set to 3 before, I put it to 1, will try 6 tomorrow
