Can't say I'm that disappointed though - there's not much to like about him is there ?It is a shame, but I find myself slightly more in favour of Scottish Independance now. :evil:

Yes, I'm a proud Scot & tennis player all my life - (with a "career high" of having had a corporate game against Messrs McEnroe & Fleming) but that doesn't mean we're all for Independence !

I was saddened to see him lose. I think he's misunderstood. A quiet, rather shy man.

Actually like the guy, find he has a good sense of humour, but usual bias reporting loves to position him as a stereo typical dour scot who hates the English... Sells copy I suppose.

Was a bit shocked to see last year's Champion lose so early on. Just saw in the news that apparently his assistant coach guy was kept in the dark about his new coach's hiring. Bit odd that, no? Anyhow to change so soon just before the previous Grand Slam seemed not great timing. How about doing it during a more 'off-season' time?

For me there is a lot to like about a guy who decides to hold his victory parades in his Scottish town where he grew up rather than a larger event in Edinburgh .
Never thought I'd see a British Wimbledon Champion and a British Olympic Champion at Wimbledon . shame he went out but back to back was going to be tough .
