Am off next Friday to visit a couple of mates living in France.

Me and a mate, and our two bikes on the Chunnel next Friday afternoon, for an overnight stop in le touquet, for some good food and local beer. Heading off early ish the next morning, going west of paris, to la Charte just north of limoge, for a couple of days and then SW to Riberac near Bergerac, before heading back toward Calais on Wednesday.

If anyone is interested, will post some pics once back.

Anyone know any good routes in this region, or must see's?

Cheers

Sorry I'm going to be no help, it always an area we went straight past on the way to Ricard for the Bol or even going further afield.

Have fun though, I always liked riding France, you weren't made to feel like scum just because you rode a bike. i Always remember standing in the reception of hotel with water running off us and pooling on the floor and being asked if wanted to see the rooms :) all we wanted was to get into some dry clothes. Even made us park the bikes in the beer garden to keep them safe.

Paul ricard & the Bol, they were good days

Did 5 of those, 86, 88 & early 90's. Epic trips.

Love riding in France.Am going back in June next year with some mates to the French Alps. Can't leave all those hairpints and Route Napoleon alone. Will be taking my freshly built Dakar replica BMW ,got a Fireblade to keep up with on the twisties ( It's fun trying)
