MOT Fail rear spring

I'm (not) pleased to join the long list of rear spring casualties. 2007 37,000 miles and now needs replacing to pass MOT. Has anyone successfully claimed this against the BMW extended warranty?

Yes I've had that issue on my M and both rear springs were replaced under my BMW Warranty no questions asked.

I took mine to the stealers for an oil change-they found a broken rear spring and replaced it FOC-without bmw warranty-goodwill gesture they said as my zed had low miles (37000 iirc)

yep, claimed against warranty at around 60k miles

Slightly off-topic, but just took my 5er to the local dealer for some work to be done under recall. When I got there, they told me that the car had several other recalls that hadn't been actioned by the previous owner

Then they informed me that they were quite happy to do them all FOC.... have to say, I wasn't expecting that...

Are the M Coupe springs the same as a 3.0si Sport Coupe?
