MOT day

Nictrix

Elite
 Paisley
MOT today and passed with flying colours.
Now 10 years old, owned for 7 and coming up for 60,000 miles.
Looks and feels as good as it did 7 years ago.
:D

Great news your Zed flew through Nictrix.

Our son's Mx5 had it's MoT today and failed miserably. Needs welding on one of the sills and a new brake line at the rear. :( Unfortunately the poor thing has just sat on the drive rotting, since he went to NZ. Hopefully this will persuade him to sell it. Much as enjoy taking it around the block, it's daft to keep it.

Had ride in friends MX5.
Not very impressed, just looked and felt cheap and cramped. Was the latest model soft top.

When the inside of door is painted the same as the body, like a cheap Fiat.

It’s encouraging news for the long term keepers ... it’s very sad when some cars just rot from the inside out despite owners best efforts..

Yes, it is good news for anyone planning long term ownership.

Z4s generally seem to be pretty robust - the only issue I've had with any of my 2006 E86s was corroded rear brake pipes on my 2nd one, but then it had an advisory for them they previous year! After dlv replaced them it was all good the next year. :D

Its a nice car, saw it at Loch Lomond. Someone made a good offer on mine a couple of weeks ago (totally out of the blue, its not up for sale), so I considered adding 4/5k and went looking online to find a newer replacement with the same amount of options and miles..... nothing. Prices seem to be all over the place :?

I know it happens to most cars but it is quiet deflating to suddenly realise that your car may only be worth 7 or 8 as a trade in.
To look at any of these cars they look so much more.
When we were buying ours if they were 7 or 8 we would have been laughing.
A completely different market but my bike that I have owned for 13 years has only lost between £2000 and £2500 in all that time. Seems very cheap yearly fun.

In Europe you don't find them at those prices.. My 9 year old (when purchased) 2 owner, with 40,000 miles was 20,500€, call it £19000... I looked around and outside of France.. UK prices 50% of continental prices.. Frankly UK prices are silly low..
