So first MOT in my possession and 2 advisories

Anyone had these and repaired themselves

A) brake pedal pivot slight wear or free play

It definitely moves side to side a lot

B) suspension arm pin or bush worn no excessive movement

Appreciate any advice

Never come across the brake pivot issue?
I guess a look at Realoem may give an idea of how it fits and whether its a diy job?
As for the suspension one - which side and exactly which bit do they mean?
I would hazard a guess at the lollipop? In which case you can replace yourself, but would be worth checking the other joints on the suspension arm at the same time, and consider changing the wehole thing?
I do know that bigwinn has just done the suspension arms on one and he's always happy to advise on stuff.

OK, just looked on Realoem and it seems the clutch and brake pedal hang on a common bracket. If it's the pivot pin that is worn then it seems you'd have to replace that whole thing. But if it's the hole in the brake pedal that is worn then maybe you can swap the pedal. What I can't tell is if there's a bush in that hole? Would be great if it was just that worn or missing and an easy replacement.

Thanks for the feedback think there should be a bush but will have to strip it down to view it and see

Sounds like a lower arm change then. Same applies, if it were me I'd probably change the lollipop at the same time. Once worn I've found they tend to get worse fairly fast, so no immediate rush, but something to consider while the weather is good.

I had the clutch pedal on our X3 suddenly go on a Friday evening, it dropped to the floor and I couldn't start it as the pedal wasn't depressed. Thought it was the slave cylinder so got it towed to a garage (my indy had no slot as I had to drive down to Devon on the following Monday morning.

Garage said the pin fell out and just needed "popping back" - £170 later I've got to Devon and it happened again - found an indy who'd seen this happen before - £320 for a new pedal box fitted. The pedal is nylon (or similar) with no bushing/reinforcement so the pin will wear it out - appalling design

Thanks Jason £320 ouch think I better start stripping out the trim

:-(

Barry (Umfaan) is breaking an E85 atm. He may be able to help with the bits you need.
Are they interchangeable with an E89?
This is the E89 section. I think Mr Birdy has an E89. :)

Tuesday is the only day I actually go into the office now, so I'm surreptitiously trying to read the forum in a small corner of my screen. Obviously I'm not paying attention!
Have had a stern word with myself!

Lucky for you I ain't your boss. It would be P&O for you
No wonder this Country is in such a state. Employees doing 'social media' when they should be working? :poke:

Clearly you haven’t recovered after having your ears boxed the other day by your good lady after your comments about MSports seats only being comfortable for those of a slim build. You could be suffering from concussion.😉
