most points and longest without

Just curious as to who may have the most points on their license without being banned, and who has gone the longest without getting any. I to start have zero points ( tempting fate I know ) through various cars and bikes, and have now just passed 28 years without any. I am sure many can beat my total, but can anyone beat my time ? Thanks Steve.

ummm may regret this but none in 26 years of driving and I have done quite a few miles in my driving career - did get done in New Zealand for speeding but as a tourist I just got a fine

44 years driving ...No points. 1 fine 40 years ago parking at 3am in a line of traffic, facing the wrong way without showing a parking light clipped to the window. 1 fine for parking for 15 mins in a residents only parking space without a permit.
I have been VERY lucky. :driving:

Bet that comment has left a few younger members wondering what the hell is he talking about.
Brings back memories - I remember them on my dad's car - they were rubbish. By morning they'd gone out because the battery was flat!

40 years driving since getting my Yamaha FS1E in 1974 and no points ever. :)
Brings back memories first motorcycle I ever rode , still got the gravel rash scars to prove it :)

Back on subject don't want to tempt fate by saying

None for 40 years. Bought the M and 6 days later got caught by a camera! Got away with a speed awareness coarse.
Too busy enjoying the car to worry about speed camera's. I look out for them now though!!

Let's see - I passed my test when I was 18 - I'm now 65 :( never been nicked for anything ( or should I say never been caught ) that's 47 years .

My first car was a minivan that cost me 75 quid - as someone said in those days you had to have a parking light at night - you could buy one that you could clip in the window and hope the battery still had enough power left in the morning to get it started - the advantage with a minivan was that if you were on a flat road you could push the bugger with the drivers door open , get up a little speed then jump in and " jump " start it like a motorbike - halcyon days :)

Woke up on the morning of my 16th Birthday and did my paper round on it and then off to school on it :D

48mph......no restrictions back then.

Cant beat some of you on length of driving career...so I'll just say:

100% of my driving career with NO points! :D

However...last day with the Z4 tomorrow and planning on going for a final drive....that could change things!

Those were the days Grumpy.....there were about 15 of us that went about together on FS1E's, SS50's, Yellow Puch's, a KTM and even a Fantic Chopper. :D

Used to drive 100% most places, whereas most of the time I now stay 'within the fast moving herd' ... safety in numbers around the +10% mark

The older you get, the more aware you become of where they sit & their tactics, but still believe it's down to luck, as I've been pottering along & passed many a trap which are predominantly in built up areas - speed there & u deserve what u get
