So - I decided to get better at this driving thingymejigger for my Fatherland trip and decided to get some formula 4 experience at Bridgestone Racing Academy! It was a HOOT! I have posted these at zpost.com but decided to add them here too!!!! I apologise to the guys who have already seen these. I initially had car 17 - until I spun it and broke a few bearings. Then I got 3 :D

The cars looked bigger in the other pics. Enough HP to get yourself in trouble besides making a (guessing beginners) mistake in the apex?

You got me ovrkll - Went into a turn fast.... possibly too fast. Started to accelerate. There was a car in front of me and I was getting close to him. Lifted my foot off the accelerator and tapped the brakes. I think that I spun before I touched the brakes!! It was probably "lift-off oversteer".

That is what the courses are for, to learn (or unlearn) from our mistakes. Hardest to unlearn is our competitive spirit, such as trying to beat someone into a corner when you know that they are driving just as hard as you. Learning how to be smart in the seat, and your vehicles limit, is worth a lot more in every day use than most people realize.

Cheers!

You're absolutely spot on, i still struggle with the mind on 1st laps, instinct tells me to go for it, head tells me to take it easy and be patient, the thinking approach leads to success the other one leads to being in the gravel trap! :P
