Just driven home from my nightshift in the zed, roof down after a night of heavy rain hearing the tyres sizzle through the wet & biting into the road, dancing round the bigger puddles to trace a safer path.
The sun is up & ive arrived home invigorated

I was working a 7 day programme, 8 'til 8, and 120 miles away from home so it was a hotel room each night. On the 6th night I was so fed up I finished the shift, jumped in the car and drove home to see my wife and children. Up at 5 am next day to get back to work for 8 O'clock.
But it's the blast down the M6, clear for once, that I remember. Roof down, heater and blower on, driving into a setting sun with a mackerel sky with Status Quo and ZZ Top giving of their best on the stereo. And that was nearly 20 years ago now.
You never know when you're making a memory, as they say.
That's what it's all about. Ahh rooster tails , I can never see them in the coupe. It reminds me though of my old SW20 days. I used to love looking in the mirror at them .... happy days.
