More power from M54B30?

So come on, what are my options?

I realise I could get rid and go for an Si, BUT I've spent time (and £) getting my car sorted, AND I love it...

An E89 is out for me, due to a; lack of boot space, esp when roof folded and b; the general consensus that it's a "softer drive" ie more GT than sportscar.. :fuelfire:

So, what can I do to eek some moe gee gee's from her?

Turbo is a no no, all that extra heat in the cooling and lubrication system, and I actually don't think it would suit the car's nature.

So that leaves?

A remap? - Not a lot for the money..

Supercharging? - Anyone done one on the M54?

Nox??? :) - Now there's an idea...

'Ang on - His is an ///M isn't it? Don't do "3 pedals" unless I am in the van!

No i beloeve its a m54b30 like ours.
Dm's motor could be the twin of mine! All black and hardtop.

I have supercharged my 3.0i
 
Sadly not cheap and ess is still raising the prices. When I bought it, I paid € 5k incl postage and had some luck with the customs as they only charged € 500VAT (ESS prices are without VAT/import charges, I had expected to pay 1k), so it arrived at my doorstep for € 5,5k. (so thats € 46,-/HP)
That was back in 2011 (so I've had this kit now for over 5,5 years now and I estimate I did 30k miles with it)
Now that price would more likely come to € 7,8k (€ 65,-/hp) (the bare ts2 kit now retails for €6,5k ex VAT)

I also have the TS2+ package installed, so headers, cats, Schrick cams, smaller pulley and different tune. That cost me about €2k. (no cost for install etc, I do everything myself)
That raises about 30 hp, and makes it mostly more aggressive in the midrange.

Its too bad that the e89 has a metal roof and is such a heavy car, because the n54 is far far cheaper to tune to big numbers.
But bringing the weight down with 200kg would cost a fortune :lol:
It weighs almost as much as my daily volvo...
