Would it do any harm to go for a short drive with instument cluster unplugged and removed?
I am trying to isolate the cause of an annoying dash creak, and not sure if the instrument cluster is causing it or the two parts of the dash (around the vents below the windscreen) are rubbing together and causing the problem. If I take the instruments out it will allow me to identify or rule out this as the problem.
I just realised that my recent posts have been asking for help
and not contributing much else. I'm a bit of a noob at car DIY, and don't want to do anything that will cause damage, and i'm i great believer in "if you have nothing useful to say, say nothing"
