modify throttle response in e85 2.5i

Folks -

I was hoping someone could point me to a good reference or source that discusses how to modify the MS45 DME using the standard bmwtools, e.g., WinKFP, Tool32, etc. I have those available and have successfully changed the settings in several of the control modules on my Z4 using NCS Expert. However, in NCS Expert, the ability to modify my car's DME is not an option (in so far as I've been able to determine to date).

I've tried searching at length on google and bmwc0d!ng and haven't found the help I need. I've read conflicting info that you can and the you can't modify the DME with the standard tools.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
Tom

I've learned that the "sport button" changes the throttle response as well as the steering feel. I'm going to retro-fit my car with that option. Should provide the driving profile that I'm looking for. Will post results once I'm done. Regards.

This might be an option......

There's an old thread on remapping....

I do know that Marlon had the red 3.0 SI Z remapped and had impressive figures considering there's not much left to squeeze out the SI engine.

It'd be different figures for your engine though.

It’s important to note that Marlon had no independently verified figures from the remap apart from the claimed ones from the remappers themselves. I’m always doubtful of suspiciously high claims until proven
