Has anyone got this BMW mobility kit?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Genuine-Tyre-Tire-Inflation-Compressor-Mobility-Kit-71102333674-/191069916773?hash=item2c7ca78e65:g:Yp0AAOSwXshWqSWn
It has an integrated tyre sealant bottle and I can't tell if it is refillable or changeable? I would hope it isn't disposable once the bottle is empty but you never know :o

Stupid money either way.

I paid about £40/50 for a BMW compressor and BMW can of sealant on ebay a year or so ago.

I thought you were getting a BMW wheelchair Paul :P
I got a can of gloop and a compressor from ECP, think it cost about £20

A wheelchair? Do you mean an E85? :P
I've got a can of gloop too but I'm thinking when I'm abroad and heaven forbid I get a flat, that would be a bad time to find out my gloop is duff

Cheeky git :poke:
Go to the ECP site and get their kit, at least you know it's recent or if you want, why not borrow my kit, it's less than a year old.

Cheers matey, thanks for the offer but i'll buy something  It took me ages to work out what ECP was

I have one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Michelin-12259-CUS12259-Tyre-Inflator/dp/B002X797TS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1477170238&sr=8-4&keywords=michelin+tyre+inflator

+ a couple of the Holts can's , its effectively expanding foam :o let the can off into deflated tyre , then attach inflator & allow the foam to expand & solidify , hence why the tyre is goosed after use

Bloody hell Andy, I didn't know the foam was that bad! Ive had enough experience with expanding foam to know I wouldn't want to clean it off an alloy :o Do you know if the likes of the BMW one above or the many others on the market that have a fluid bottle that fits inline between the compressor and tyre are effectively the same as the can of holts?

I have one similar that is branded Iveco and has enough gloop for a big tyre. It looks a bit like this kit...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-FIAT-FIX-GO-KIT-COMPRESSOR-AND-TYRE-SEALANT-TYRE-REPAIR-INFLATOR/172372272626?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D888007%26algo%3DDISC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D39805%26meid%3Da7a478bf782f433bafd3fb8e8c3de3f0%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D172381849043

Think I paid abot £30 for mine. Just make sure you check the expiry date of the bottle of sealant before buying.

If you want to pay for a BMW logo you can but any should do the job equally badly.

Get one of these.
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/car-accessories-products/emergency-and-breakdown/tyre-foam/?539771440&&cc5_906

This stuff actually works and won't goose your tyre as it will wash out unlike the OEM stuff.

Only puncture it won't fix is a sidewall but nothing will fix that.

Thanks Stuart, Firebobby also mentioned that one and I'm going to get it instead of the mad priced BMW version.
I met Smartbear ant Stupot67 earlier to discuss our road trip and agreed that slime was the way forward and would you believe it but my tyre deflated on the way home :o

2 large cans of Holt's is what I use, only works for small ish holes and you won't need a compressor, in fact I usually have to let some air out when I get to the petrol station as its well above the recommended psi. The stuff washes easily off alloys when you're done.
