mirror glass fell off.

my drivers side glass fell off a while back, and i bought a replacement which stuck on to some black material stuff.

now my passenger side has decided to do the same, but this one clips on to a circular bit of plastic.

i tried clipping it back on but was worried about smashing the glass or breaking the plastic.

any ideas?

also, how do they fall off clips? i understand them coming loose after being stuck on, but not when clipped on to a backing plate.

can only go by my memory but I think there maybe a bit of your clip missing
