Daughter hits 18 today , kinda feel,s like a major life task is complete ,
Son is 22 so that,s both children successfully raised , into functioning adult,s who are both a pleasure to be around .
Not easy at times & still remember the pressure & responsibility of having 2 kids under 5 when i was in my 20,s with 18th birthdays a lifetime away :wink:

Congratulations on both of them! I feel your sense of satisfaction and pride :) well deserved I suspect.

We're still at 16 and 20 so a little way to catch up...

but I do hope the ice-cream doesn't go IN the lovely Z!

Congratulations on a job well done. my daughters are 22 and 20.
When they were little i couldn't wait for them to grow up ,now that they're older i wish they were little again.:)

@si-forks - how very true - I have twin daughters aged 13, a step-daughter who is 12 and another who is 9 - so I am well and truly outnumbered - even the dog is a girl! But in some ways I am dreading the days when they all turn 18 as I know I will want all my little girls back again :(
 
Congratulations Andy :thumbsup: My daughter is now aged 30, my eldest son is 28 and the baby is now 27. I remember when they were all born just like it was yesterday, then with a blink of the eye they are all grown up with bairns of their own.

Exactly this.
My 2 girls are 30 & 27 :cry: I would love to turn the clock back 20 years :thumbsup:
 
Happy to be as we are for now but i do understand the wanting to turn the clock back , hopefully they will both carry on doing what they choose & myself & mrs w can enjoy more euro travel :) starting with 2 weeks in June (Normandy ) & 2 weeks in October (Canaries) :thumbsup:
 
Big congratulations to mum and dad. Lots of love and effort required. My daughter grew up with the z4 in her life. All too often she would force me to take her out in the z4 and she would have a new play list for that drive loaded in her iPod, DSP audio turned up to the Max and roof down thrashes up the B660 they were the days :-(

She's graduated now, in a good job at the university she studied at and leading her own life away from her family home.

I'm proud of my four. It took me a while to work out why they kept appearing though. (I shot the milkman, that sorted it)
 
Congrats mate - my two " girls " are 40 and 27 - I also have two " boys" aged 44 and 36 - my eldest daughter has 5 children ( 4 boys and a girl ) is an ex teacher and home educates them all :roll:

Congrats - a naturally proud achievement. My youngest has a month to go before he's 18 and then there's the 2 girls at 26 and 28 who still seem 6 and 8 to me! :D
 
Lovely - but I've found they tend to need supporting way past the age of 18!

What a different world it is now for young people - glad I went through this in the late 70s - lot easier in many ways then.

I found it wonderful once my kids were settled and independent. One in London, one in Australia, one in Manchester, two still studying in York and Leeds, my wife's eldest now a doctor, and twp others still studying Cambridge and Newcastle. . . .that's a lot of dependents and a lot of extra years studying. . . . . :cry:
