Barcelona?

Terrible, even worse that you are not there with her. I know when my wife goes on girl trips I worry about stuff like this.

Unfortunatly a frequent occurence in Spain. has happened to a few people I know. Brits are apperantly easy targets :?

Sadly all too common and glad shes ok. My daughter lost her bag phone and cards to this same stuff.
Nowadays they carry old scrap phones out at night, ID in hip pocket and bag with nothing of value in.

If youve not seen it one scam now is to approach with a folded map and lower it to the table as you sit in a bar or cafe and as it covers your phone they can pick it up unseen with 2 fingers while you either help with directions or not. Off they walk with a phone...

Yes taravel insurance in hand, as much the inconvienience of not having proper contact now luckily is able to use friends phone. Hard lesson to learn but as you say no lasting harm done .Thank you guys for kind words, Steve
