Hi

An ad showed up on my FB page today of a guys that do remaps from Leicester. I asked for a quote for my 3.0i out of curiosity.

Guy quoted me promo price 160£ instead 250£

and they have 40£ offer for engin carbon treatment.

Good rewievs overall and very responsive ,but one thing make me think. All done in less than an hour. Some places do map, dyno, map, dyno and map again if needed. thats a lot more than an hour to tweak everything.

What u guys think? Anyone used them? if not, what remap place have you used and can recommend? West midlands preferably.

Thanks

there will be no dyno or testing involved just plugged into a computer and generic map installed, you'd not get a dyno derived mapping job for much less than 4/500 I'd have thought

The postcode provided points to a housing estate, so you won't be getting any dyno runs  it'll most likely be one of these plug and play remaps.

Ive had 3 bmws remapped by angel tuning in banbury. No dyno readouts, but butt dyno says they worked!

Though that said, if your car isnt turbocharged i wouldnt bother with a remap tbh, the gains on a naturally aspirated engine just arent worth it IMO.

thank you for your feedback, he said this:

Power increase from 228 to 245bhp and torque from 300 to 330nm
plus some mpg increase, dunno how much.

I would probably skip the idea and invest money elsewhere in the car
