Need some new front 18" non runflats

Would like to spend max £250 on a pair

These any good?:

Falken Ziex
Falken Azenis
Hankook Ventus
Avon ZZ5
Vred Ultrac Cento/Sessanta/Vorti

Hankook, Vred and Avon - all good.

I've got ZZ5s on mine, and reckon they're a top tyre for the money - some positive reviews here http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Avon/ZZ5.htm

Agree with Adam . not much to set the above 3 apart in quality & performance .
For me though the Vred would win out purely on price & the aesthetic,s

Vred Vorti's on Camskill at the mo for £89 ish all in for 225/40/18

Edit £87 not £89

Does anyone know what the difference would be between Vorti's and sessanta's as they are in at £87 as well

Think the vorti's replaced the sessanta's.

I like my sessantas... Would def get vorti's when they need replacing.

Vred over falken without a doubt. And I swore by Falkens for years until I had them on my M when I bought it.

Although next shoes will be Michelin pilot supersports

The whole process confuses me. I'm looking ATM too for a change this month ready for winter and MOT. Talking about the rears.... Vred vorti don't look as good as sessantas and are a bit more on mytyres but have a better rating. Yes for a fiver more you're mixing with p zero and potenzas. No idea!!!

I've had the Falkens on for 3 years and can't fault them, very quiet running, plenty of wet grip and they come with a 'lifetime' damage warranty. they are also well priced. I don't do big miles so wear is not an issue although some say they go 'off' more quickly than others I've not had this yet. The only down side for tread geeks may be appearance (which is like buying shoes for the look of the sole pattern :? ) and less side-wall protection than some others. I'm sure there are better tyres but you will need to spend a fair % more for relatively little difference.

The thing that swung it for me was the owner of my local tyre shop having them put on his M3 after a track day testing brands back-to-back.

Good year f1.

I got a pair at the front 225 40 18 for 220 and rears 255 35 18 for 300

I know it's slightly more than your budget but what is 50 quid over a year and a half ?

Vreds are good, the only issue I have found is that stones keep getting stuck in the tread?! Makes a really annoying noise when driving roof down!

I run 18" ZZ5's on my Jaguar and like them a lot - I would have put them on my Zed which has 17" wheels but can't get them in that size. So I went for Ultrac Vorti's which I also like a lot.

Vred Ultrac Vortis are the replacement for the Sessanta, so I'm told. Priced them on Camskill and I'm looking at £250 for rears only, so with delivery etc and fitting prob around £450 to replace a full set.

I think I'm decided Vred Vorti is the way to go. I have used Vreds for many years on my other cars. I can't fault them.

ive got the khumo ecsta le sport kuXX on mine and they replaced the falken tyres we all like (i forget the number ze501???) i would say pretty identical on grip etc. but i dont think the khumo do as good job protecting the rims from bumps

Evo gave great review of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 2's

price looks reasonable including fitting on Black circles £183.37 each which is about £40 per tyre more than Flakens

I think I may splash out and try these highly rated tyres and if I like them replace the fronts as and when
