I have an 07-plate Z4M with BMW bluetooth. My question is... did BMW see fit to include a "microphone mute" function, perchance? I haven't discovered it if they did!
I spend a lot of time on conference calls in my car, and the car mic transmits a lot of road noise when I'm not talking, so I'd like to have a way to manually mute the mic to avoid that.
I could use my phone's microphone mute function, but then I'd need to mount the phone somewhere fixed (instead of sling it in the boot or whatever). Or I could look to mess with the wiring of the microphone itself (I don't know if it's an active or passive mic though).
