Michelin sport PS2 first impressions!!!

ZOMG I did it. Despite me saying I was going to go with the BFG KDW2's. Basically as I'm talking with tire people (and one guy that tracks) I heard a couple people say that after about 4-6 months the KDW's start being rather bad. So I almost went with 452's, but one guy pointed me to a cheaper deal concerning the PS2's.
So I got the michelin sport PS2's for right at $1000.

Let me just say, thus far after 250 miles......WOWOWOWOWOWOOW. They grip way more than the falkens 452's ever did (and I loved/still love the Falkens). This opinion is not just based off old vs new tires. The steering response feels a lot more sharper than the 452's. The downside.....that low as hell treadwear rating. I'll probably buy a second set of rims/tires for everyday use (probably 452's) once I sell my truck. Besides I need winters for Lakenheath.

Aebous,
Where were you able to get Michelin PS2's for a grand? Sounds like a great price.
Thanks.
Also in what size(s)?
...but a $1,000 sound real good if that is for the staggered 18 inch config...

Did you get the PS2's or the PS2 ZP's? I bought the PS2 ZP's and it cost me just a tad over $1300.00 from Tire Rack. I do think I made the right choice because they are superb tires compared to the original Bridgestones, (well... really no comparison at all).

That sounds like a very good deal. I just got 4 Goodyear F1 assymetric for $1,000 with mounting, balancing, etc. Since the Michelin PS2 were about 1,300 plus mounting, etc., I decided to go with the Goodyears since the consensus seems to be that they are as good as the PS2, but cheaper. They are a HUGE improvement over the Bridgestone RFT. My car now has a suspension, and rides a lot better. Since the Goodyears are lighter, my car is now obviously faster. It's only been a few hundred since I've had them installed, but the cornering is noticeably better also. It's as though I've got a new car. They also seem to be quieter. Yes, I'm very happy with my new tires. :D

That was in the 18 inch, though for the rears I had to go with a 245 instead of a 255 due to availability.
They weren't cheaper than the Falkens would have been (without a deal I was quoted as having the Falkens installed at around $860), once I realized just how much cheaper I was getting tires for through this guy I decided to try for the PS2's.
One of the guys I work with tracks his 350z (fairly modified), and he gave me the name of a higher up with discount tires and he hooked up me up with the reduced price. I would like to give more details but I was politely asked not to give the guys name/number :(

These are not the ZP tires.

I can say after the track, these are some super awesome tires. I felt confident the whole day, the grip was there and then some. I would love to try these out at Spring Mountain as I know that track and what my car used to be able to do on it pretty damn well, but it doesn't look like there is anyone going there before September.
