Michelin pss still made???

Have Michelin replaced the pilot super sports? As I'm due four new tyres and phoning local tyre shop saying they don't do them anymore.

Don't know if they're still available as new but they have been superseded in the Michelin line up by the PS4S.

PS4S are only available in sizes 19" and above. I had to have PS 4 only had them on for 500 miles but seem fine.

I think michelin is replacing pss with pilotsport 4s which is not made in 18" I believe. (they advise for your car the normal pilotsport 4)

But 18"PSS is still available:
front (I think I got the measurements right but check that):

Thanks I'll have a good search about tonight

No offence Gazc but I wouldn't put PS4 on a Z4M, it's not the equivalent of the PSS.

Depends what you use the car for they are better than the Pirelli's I took off and much better than the original conti M 3's. I don't do trackdays so PS 4 's are more than good enough, better than PSS in the wet and living in West Wales that's important.

Here is the review that made me decide to buy them.

Understood but my understanding is that the OP is looking to replace the PSS like for like and the PS4 aren't that.

PS4 tyres are plenty good enough for an M, very good tyre in my experience so far which is compared against F1s. I haven't driven PSS though so they are probably gripper in the dry but the PS4 still bite hard.

Does plenty good enough equate to the best available for the type of car? The PS4 didn't replace the PSS, it replaced the PS3. PSS was replaced by the PS4S.

I did want to replace like for like only option is if I can get old stock of pss or go to ps4 due to Michelin not making ps4s in our size

Bought a set of MPSS a couple of months back. Did require a little hunting. The good news they seem to be cheaper than ever. :D

They only had the fronts when I tried to buy them and if you read the review I posted they didn't replace the PS3 they are intended to replace the MPSS the PS4S is a new tyre.

This is hardly a new story but......
