MFSW wire

Hi anyone know the product code for the wire that connects the right hand MFSW controls to the slip ring on the steering column? Bmw are acting silly and want a vin number of a car with one factory fitted before they can find it on their system and order me one.
Thanks

Have you looked on REALOEM. The wire may not be available separately but you always can show them this

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BT52-EUR-04-2003-E85-BMW-Z4_30i&diagId=03_0352

my dealer always asks for reg as they feel there might have been changes depending on build date so work this way. Hope this helps

Yeah tried that but it doesn't show it separately. Ive just picked a random Z4 number plate from AT which has a MFSW fitted so sent that reg number this morning so we will see if they can source it now.

I literally just did my MFSW about 3 days ago - I couldn't find the required wire anywhere! (For reference, the part number is 61120394848)

However, any 2 pieces of wire will do the trick! :) I already had the connectors from a diff project (They use a typical MQS connector).

You can buy some here: http://www.automotiveconnectors.com/te-amp-mqs-socket-terminal-02-05mm.html

Or if you want, PM me, and I can post you a 30cm piece of 2 core wire, with the connectors attached one end, and bare wires the other (the bmw kit gives you scotch-locks for joining the wires at the head light controls - you'll have to source theses yourself as I don't think I've got any left atm)

Not sure if you've seen this already too, but this is the guide I took a quick look over before doing mine: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=16422
