MFSW fitted. A couple of points/questions

Dav the wheel nut

Been waiting for an M MFSW to come up at the right price on ebay and last week one did. I snapped it up at £180 delivered having only been on ebay for 15 minutes! It is 6 months old and immaculate having been fitted to an Alpina for that period of time.
Having previously checked that my 2004 had the wiring fitted I was good to go.
Following the how to by sideshowbob (cheers Bob) made it easy. The actual fitting took 30 minutes which included the 20 mins for the airbag.
Everything seems to be working fine and it has a great 'feel' when driving and with the ZHP gear knob looks great.
Here are my couple of points. Interestingly the wheel is fractionally off centre when the front wheels are straight but I'm not sure why as I know the wheel was aligned correctly. I'm sure I read somewhere on here that someone else noticed the same with theirs.
Secondly two buttons on the left of the wheel control the volume and two on the right alter radio stations or cd tracks. What are the inner buttons on either side of the wheel for? Are they for Satnav operation which I don't have?
Thirdly I take it you cannot turn the radio on or off from the wheel or am I missing something?
Overall a well worth modification.

The inner buttons are for the phone system(if fitted),the right one is for switching between radio and phone and the left one is to answer and end calls. You can't turn off the radion from the steering wheel, hope that has answered your questions

Many thanks

It was probably me that you are referring to with the 'off cenre' thing! Going to take my wheel off tomorrow and have a good look, will let you know my findings!

Look forward to your post. I'm sure mine is on the right thread so I don't really get it.

It's not really an issue as it's only off centre by a very small margin but it would be nice to know why.

The left inner button is for voice control. You hold it down wait for the beep and then say map or phonebook or dial etc. Comes with bluetooth.
