I`ve just purr chased a E85 sport MFSW for the sum of 250 pound notes , having received it , found out it is the same thickness as my wheel, had it in my head that `sport` was short for thicker , like the `m sport one` - doh
Happy to keep the wheel , but worried I paid too much - and if so by how much - would like to see if I could get a partial refund or return it if I`ve paid well over the odds

Awaiting the greater knowledge from you forumers

The only difference between sport and mfsw sport is the fact that one is plain thick sport and the other has the multi function buttons. The non sport SE wheel is the thinner one.

Did you think the s in mfsw is for sport, or was it advertised as a sport wheel
Mfsw multi function steering wheel

Yep that's scandalous for an SE wheel

If it's eBay just submit a complaint that it's not as described.

to be fair if it was ebay and it had a picture of it showing the fact its an SE wheel then it could be tricky.

as he has received the item in the picture

Indeed. Standard wheel as seats are called "Sport", both are called "M Sport" for the more desirable option.

Yep , was off ebay, and they highlighted the fact it was a `sport` wheel , partly my bad then as I didn`t realise standard = sport :?

will ask the question - they can only say no

thanks for the advice

I paid £110 for a near perfect wheel with very little wear waiting for a while before it gets royals treatment :driving:

sorry to hear you were caught out with the 'sport' naming. Not only is the standard wheel called 'sport' but also the standard seats are called 'sport' too. A painful lesson to learn that its the 'M Sport' that is the thicker/chunkier wheel :(

TBH if you're not happy I'd just get a full refund? I've had that in the past as a eBay seller. eBay always just sides with the buyer. Even if they're obviously being stupid (not saying you are).
If he's not prepaired to knock £100 off then just start a return request? That's what I'd do buddy

Just advise the seller you'd like to return the item. If he refuses then ask eBay to step in.
Paying too much is not a valid return reason, but 'confusing advert description' would be or such as 'no longer required'

Totally agree eBay will always side with the buyer so return asap when you get refunded that is you may have to pay return postage but you will recover that in the long run

Is there an echo in here

I think distant seller regulations stipulate you can cancel any transaction 'without reason' upto 14 days after delivery.
